This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U. S., Inc.

All participants must have a current AAU membership.

AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event.

AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins.

Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at event. Please allow 10 days for membership to be processed.

Cost: $20 per Athlete, Spectator Fee $5 – Kids under 5 free.

 

Doors Open at 7:30am, First Call Field Events at 8:30am. Field Events start: 9:00AM and Running Events start at 9:30AM

Wednesday, June 7, 2017 – 11:59pm EDT.

 

NO REGISTRATION FOR COMPETITION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

NO CHANGES ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

ELIGIBILITY: A competitor in ages 5 – 12 may enter a maximum of three (3) events. All other

competitors may enter a maximum of four (4) events, including relays.

 

AWARDS: Medals are awarded 1st – 3rd place in each event. This includes relay teams in each division. Awards packet can be picked up at awards area approximately 30 minutes after conclusion of the meet. Medals will not be mailed to the athlete’s home. It is the responsibility of athlete, coach or parent to pick-up awards before leaving the meet.

 

BIB NUMBERS: Competitor bib numbers will be issued at athlete/team check-in.

CONCESSIONS: Food & Drinks Available (NO OUTSIDE FOOD)

SPIKES: 1/4” Pyramid spikes or smaller. Check spikes prior to start of events

AGE DIVISIONS: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, OPEN 19-30 & MASTER

NOTE: Javelin Throw for ages 13-18 ,Pole Vault, Steeplechase, and Multi-Events are not being contested at this District Championship Meet.  Athletes may enter directly in the Region 1 Meet in those events.

Region 1 Qualifier entry requirements:

For an athlete to advance to a Region Qualifier, he/she must finish in the top sixteen of an individual event at a District qualifier and receive a fair mark in each event he/she plans to compete in at the Region 1 Junior Olympic Qualifier. Top four relays will qualify for the Region I Qualifier as long as they have a fair mark.   Athletes may compete only one District qualifier; but will not be permitted to exceed the age-division entry limit at a National Qualifier. Unattached athletes and Teams may only enter the Area I National Qualifier. The Region 1 Junior Olympic Qualifier will be held June 30th-July 2nd at Hub Stine Sports Complex ,Plainfield, NJ. Athletes who do not compete in a District Qualifying Meet will only be eligible to compete in the Pole Vault, Steeplechase, Javelin and Multi-Events at the Region 1 Qualifier. (Turbo-Jav must be contested at District Qualifiers). Relay teams must be declared on the National Qualifier level. • REGISTRATION FOR THE AAU Region Championships will be online at www.coacho.com. Registration deadline is June 27th, at 11:59pm. All entry fees are to be paid online at the end of registration via credit card (Visa, Master Card). Results for the District Qualifier will be posted on the internet at www.aauathletics.org . Coaches must register their teams, whereas unattached athletes may be registered by a parent or guardian. • Once an athlete registers in the On-line Registration system. He/she must remain with that team for the remainder of the Junior Olympic season. An athlete cannot be registered in the system twice (.i.e… with a club and as an unattached athlete).
